Our Associations
Gippsland Cricket (Region 7 of the Victorian Country Cricket League) brings together a proud group of cricket associations from across eastern Victoria. Each association plays a vital role in developing players, supporting volunteers, and promoting the game at grassroots level.
Here's an overview of the associations that make up our region:
Bairnsdale Cricket Association (BCA)
Located in East Gippsland, the Bairnsdale Cricket Association is one of the most easterly associations in the region. It supports strong senior and junior competitions, with a passionate cricket community and a long-standing tradition of nurturing talent across coastal and rural towns.
Cricket Latrobe Valley (CLV)
Cricket Latrobe Valley brings together the former Traralgon & District Cricket Association (TDCA) and Latrobe Valley & District Cricket League (LVDCL) under a single banner. This combined association supports both urban and rural clubs across the Latrobe Valley and is known for its dynamic competitions, growing women's competition and strong junior development pathways.
Leongatha & District Cricket Association (LDCA)
Stretching across South Gippsland and surrounding areas, the LDCA combines scenic country grounds with a deep love for the game. It maintains strong local rivalries and is committed to growing the sport at all levels, particularly among youth and families.
Sale-Maffra Cricket Association (SMCA)
Sale-Maffra Cricket Association (SMCA) brings together clubs from across Wellington Shire, including Sale and Maffra. Known for its proud history, strong community support and popular local Twenty20 series, SMCA balances competitive senior cricket with a strong focus on junior development.
Warragul & District Cricket Association (WDCA)
Warragul & District Cricket Association (WDCA) covers clubs across Baw Baw Shire, from Warragul to surrounding rural areas. With deep local rivalries, a strong junior pathway and inclusive programs, the WDCA is a key hub for grassroots cricket in West Gippsland.
