Gippsland Pride Names Strong Squad for Cricket Victoria Country Cup
Gippsland Pride has announced its final squad for the 2026/27 Cricket Victoria Country Cup, with a talented group of 13 players selected to represent the region in the U16 Boys competition.
The squad brings together emerging cricketers from across Gippsland, with players representing 10 community clubs: Collegians, Warragul, Bundalaguah, Mirboo North, Centrals, Wurruk, Leongatha Town, Longford, Outtrim Moyarra Kongwak, and Latrobe.
The selection recognises the hard work, commitment and development of the region’s young cricketers, who will have the opportunity to test themselves against some of the best country talent in their age group while proudly representing Gippsland Pride.
Ashhton Wright will lead the team as head coach, supported by assistant coach Tom Wrigglesworth, with Ken Hutchinson taking on the role of scorer.
With a strong mix of club representation and emerging talent, the squad will be looking to make the most of the opportunity, build on their individual skills and work together as a team throughout the competition.
Congratulations to all players selected, along with the coaching and support staff. The Gippsland cricket community will be cheering the team on as they take to the field in the 2026/27 Cricket Victoria Country Cup.
